Pillgwenlly Primary School pupils enjoy farm park trip thanks to community benefits donation from Linc Cymru

The housing association and care provider is about to start a regeneration project in Constables Close and LCB Group Construction, the contractor, made a contribution to help the local area.
This meant 74 reception children had a fun day at Walnut Tree Farm Park in the fresh air bringing their class project, 'On The Farm', to life. They learned how to describe the animals and found out what they eat. It was an extra special day this was their first school trip. The donation reduced the cost by 50%, making it a more affordable experience for the children's families.
The donation will also help 72 pupils in year one go to Newport Wetlands to learn about minibeasts.
Shelly Leonard, from Linc Cymru, said: “It was lovely to hear that our community benefits fund was able to give these pupils a day to remember at the farm. The photos show how much fun they had learning about animals for their class project.”
