Linc gaining ‘Three Stars’ for CHS Service Excellence Standards

Linc is the largest provider of extra care housing in Wales, with 7 extra care schemes. All our schemes provide the opportunity for people to live as active and as independent lives as possible, living in their own homes with support tailored to their individual needs. This accommodation provides a real alternative to residential care.

Each extra care scheme has a dedicated Linc Service Manager, who liaises with care providers and ensures that the housing, care and support needs of our customers are met.

In all schemes a care provider is also based on site over 24 hours, and tenant can choose to purchase care directly from them or from another provider of their choice.

All apartments are self-contained, including a walk-in shower, fitted kitchen, and space for personal equipment and additional support if needed.

Telecare technology is an integral feature of all the apartments and communal areas, with emergency pull cords fitted and alarm pendants for each tenant, which alert staff in an emergency. A community alarm service is also provided when the Linc Service Manager is not onsite at the scheme.

Who Can Live There?

Generally the schemes are intended to meet the needs of older people 60+ who have care and/or support needs. However the lettings process allows us to consider the needs of any individuals with support needs who may benefit from living in Extra Care.

How  Much does it cost?

The main charges include the rent, service charge, support charge and a catering cost.

  •  Further information is available on our Rent & Service Charge page
  •  You may be eligible for help in meeting these costs by applying for benefits and entitlements.

How do I apply for an apartment?
