Former Mountain Ash Pavilion set to be cut back

Former Mountain Ash Pavilion set to be cut back

Overgrown vegetation on the former Mountain Ash Pavilion site will be cut back this month.

Rhondda Cynon Taf Council and Linc Cymru, a housing association and care provider, are developing proposals to build a new development which supports residential dementia care and extra care accommodation.

Before a planning application can be written, surveyors have to find out more about the site and they need easy access across the area.

Simon Lewis, Senior Development Manager for Linc Cymru, said: “We hope residents won’t have any concerns if they see workers cutting back vegetation. It’s being done so surveyors can take accurate measurements and other information about the site to use in our planning application.

“A bat and reptile survey have been carried out and no species were found on the site. As an added precaution an ecologist from Linc Cymru will visit the Pavillion every two days to check on progress with our contractors.
