Update – Visits Suspended at Capel Grange Nursing Home

Coronavirus (COVID-19)
With the rising rate of infections across Wales and more specifically the increase in Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in Newport, we have suspended all visits to Capel Grange Nursing Home.

Protecting our residents from this virus is our primary concern and we are committed to taking all the necessary precautions to put their health and safety first.

With immediate effect, both indoor and outdoor visits have now been suspended at Capel Grange.

Our decision to suspend all visits comes after Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in Newport are shown to be rising and Newport Council advising all nursing homes in Newport to immediately suspend indoor visits in order to prevent the spread of infection.

We will work alongside the Council, Welsh Government, Public Health Wales, and Aneurin Bevan University Health Board as we monitor the situation and continue to follow all infection control measures.

Visits for medical care and end of life visits can continue, and of course these will be carried out following safety measures.

Though it is with sadness that we must suspend visits once more, we reassure you that the health and safety of our residents remains our top priority and as a team, we will continue to provide the highest standard of care.
